YOU to our Teachers this month!
Attention
Parents of Upcoming 7th Graders, The State of Tennessee requires students entering the 7th grade to have a Tdap(tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis booster) and a second Varicella(chicken pox). The school based clinic, your family doctor/pediatrician, and health department are all prepared to provide this service. If you choose to have the vaccines somewhere other than the school clinic, you must bring in a copy of the shot record for your child’s school file. Your child is not allowed to attend school if he or she does not meet this requirement. They will be sent home unexcused. The school clinic is open during the summer and Saturdays at the Elementary site. See below for the state guidelines if your child has had the disease chicken pox or if there are medical or religious exemptions. · Proof of immunity for chicken pox is required. This should be documentation of provider diagnosed chicken pox. It needs to include year the child had the disease. · If there is a religious exemption, a written, signed statement by the parent/guardian stating that the vaccination conflicts with their religious tenets or practices is required. |

Dear Parents/Guardians: If you would like your child’s
progress reports and report cards mailed to you this school year, please send
8 self-addressed stamped envelopes to your child’s homeroom teacher by the
end of next week. These reports will
then be mailed to you approximately every 4 ˝ weeks and every 9 weeks. This is not a requirement- your
child will still receive a report if it is not mailed to you. We would like to thank you for your
donations to the science labs. We are
currently collecting box tops and would appreciate any that you could send
in. We do not have to purchase
anything special from this company , all we do is send in as many box tops as
we can and we get the face value of them.
You can go to their website to see the participating products with the
box top coupons on them: boxtops4educations.com. Please Remember These Important things: ·
Cell phones are not to be used at school ·
Middle school students are to be picked up at the side
entrances of the middle school ·
Please read your child’s student handbook (preferably with
your child) and be aware of campus rules. ·
Attendance is mandatory ·
Unruly student behavior will not be tolerated,; if you
child doesn’t abide by the school rules, he/she will be sent to an alternative
school setting ·
Read all notes sent home; it’s important that we
communicate ·
Send all school forms back quickly; we need this
information ·
Report your change of address, and be sure the school has
a working
phone number for emergencies ·
Have your child at school before eight o’clock and
encourage proper sleeping habits ·
Know that your child will be educated and receive
nourishing meals in a safe, fair environment. With your encouragement,
support, and effort from your child, they can receive a quality education ·
Changes in Procedures: No sign outs will be
done on the phone. Students must be signed out by someone on the form in the
office. |
