(Words that will probably be on test on Aug. 28 & 29: Dan, mat, has, tap, over, jump, he, yes, Al, too, it, bag, and tag. Skills for this test: recognizing sentences, short a words, and ending sounds.
Words that will probably be on test on Sept. 4th & 5th: kick, quick, zip, hill, sit, lot, will, be, has, tall, six, bib. Skills for this test: Knowing the difference between a statement and a question and knowing which punctuation mark goes at the end, and short I words

Double Bracket: Teacher Comments:
1.	Do the enclosed homework sheet and return it by Sept.4th. They will also have a test over these words on Sept. 4th.
2.	 The day your child brings home the fluency practice sheet, try to do two readings, mark the number of errors, and send it back the next day.
3.	Read pages 68 through 81 in the red book and be ready for test on Sept. 4th & 5th . Also continue to read “What Does Pig Do?” in the yellow book.
4.	Remember, there is no school on Sept. 1st.
5.	Remember, the Sept. calendar homework is due Sept. 12th.
6.	When your child brings a test home, please sign it and send it back the next day. The daily seat work doesn’t have to come back, unless I have written on it to finish and return.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Math skills to work on: Order of numbers to thirty, number words to ten, adding and subtracting to ten, patterns, counting backwards, counting by twos (forward & backward), adding pennies and nickels together, and ordinals to twenty (first, second, third, etc.)  (Test will probably be Aug. 29th.)
