Reading

 

Our Reading story for this week is “I Can, Can You”.  Your child may read both the warm-up, and the follow-up story, but our focus will be on the main selection.  Please be sure that your child reads the story each night.

 

Spelling

 

We will have a spelling pre-test every Wednesday and our regular test on Friday.  Please go over these words nightly with your child so that he/she will be prepared for the test.  Spelling words to know by August 22nd:

This week we will be working on graphing pictures on a pictograph, identifying most and fewest on a graph, identifying right and left, writing and identifying the numbers 0, 6, 8, and 9, ordering sets from smallest to largest, ordering numbers from least to greatest, matching a number to a set, and coloring a bar graph.
